From the President:

September 4, 2006.

Dear Members and Friends,

As the old 70's song goes "Welcome Back, welcome back, welcome back". No none of you is named M. Kotter, but you are all very important people. Did you have a wonderful summer or are you still waiting for the magic to come? Either way, summer is almost over and with it comes the fall-Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Remember, it's just a few months away and will be here before we know it.

We have State Meeting coming up in September. I will be going to represent the group and to hopefully shine come the silent auction on Saturday night. Our theme is Luxury Bath and I think that our basket is pretty special! It will make them think again that Ventura County's small band of women are pretty with it.

Your board of directors has been working to make the coming year special also. We are going to be having several months of CE classes from Life/Health to Fire/Auto and all of them will be very interesting and worth attending. Education was what we heard was the most important item to everyone around here, so we are trying to provide classes for you. If we can, we will also be providing at least one Saturday 8 hour CE class. Of course, being a member of IWVC will have certain benefits come class time, such as reduced rates for the classes, so please think about joining our membership ranks!

Looking forward to seeing you in September ---.

Yours in fellowship,
Ruth Uridel, CPIW.

Webmaster's Note: To use the form below you could print the entire bulletin if you wish and then use the proper page. If you dont't want to print the whole thing you can use the following method which works with all browser's I know. Place your cursor immediately to the left of the "W" in the first line. Your cursor should become an "I" when you're close enough. Hold down the left mouse button and sweep over the entire form. (Going to the bottom of the screen with the mouse cursor will cause the window to scroll if necessary. Continue to hold the mouse button.) Release the mouse button and, without clicking anywhere else, go the the EDIT | COPY menu selection and click there. Then load your usual word processing program and use EDIT | PASTE to place the form in the word processor. If you got too much or too little you can remove or type as necessary. You can then print the form. Or, you can fill it out on the computer deleting the lines as you go and then print it.

Welcome Letter to Region VIII Members
From
Region VIII Vice President
Michele L. Epstein, AAI, AIS, ACSR, CISR, CPIW, DAE.
July 1, 2006.

Dear Members of Region VIII:

Welcome to the 2006-2007 year for NAIW, International! I am very honored and excited to serve as your Regional Vice President and your link to the National Board of Directors for a second term. I know that your State Directors are as excited as I am. I know that we can rely on the members of Region VIII for enthusiasm and support.

My theme for this year is an expansion of my 2005-2006 theme. "POWER" - Professional Organization Working (at) Education (and) Relationships. This year, we will add an "M" - M-POWER. The "M" is what you want it to be - Membership, Mentoring, Motivation, etc. Looking at the sides of the NAIW triangle, my theme and goals will coincide with the goals and mission of our association.

By now, you have heard from your State Directors with information from our National President, Gloria Bruno, which provides her theme, her goals and aspirations for the year. Please know NAIW is all about you the member. Your input is invaluable to me and to the entire Leadership team. Share the accomplishments of your state, your local association and your members. Achieved a new designation? Did your local association have a terrific fundraiser? Let your State Director know. Let's all celebrate our successes and work together to overcome your challenges. Your State Directors will be sending me information to share with you in our Regional Newsletters and on our Regional Website (www.naiwregionviii.com). (Close the new window to return here.)

I am looking forward to seeing all of you at your upcoming State Meetings and I hope that you begin to plan now to attend Regional Conference in Arizona next April!

In fellowship,

Michele,
Michele L. Epstein, AAI, AIS, ACSR, CISR, CPIW, DAE,
NAIW International,
Region VIII Vice President.
