Dear Members and Friends,

Our February meeting was outstanding. John Bell from Safe-Lite Auto Glass presented a program on insurance fraud. Not only did we learn something about the subject, but we learned something about ourselves. Thank you, John!

On a very different note: We will have Carrie from Cookie Lee Jewelry and Amy Presents Avon Cosmetics at our March meeting to doll us up for all occasions. This is a don't-miss event as these are wonderful products and selections. Please join us for some fun on March 14, 2006.

Our regional conference is fast approaching on March 23-25, 2006. There is still time to sign up and we would love to have a strong showing from IWVC. These are wonderful affairs and you come back with so many different ideas and plans just from being with all of these wonderful ladies. I have order forms for the official Region VIII t-shirt, so please call me at (805) 302-3238 if you are interested in purchasing one of them. They are very colorful!

Look for the State newsletter (March 1st). It also will be full of interesting articles. The newsletter will also announce that our State Director, Eddie Wills, will be moving shortly and can no longer be our State Director. This is a mighty blow to us as Eddie is not only a wonderful person, but a very good Director. She will be missed.

Remember, we have our May Dinner coming up - "Everything Old is New Again", May 9th, 2006. We have some wonderful ideas for this dinner, so ask how you can be part of it!

A very attractive blonde woman from Texas arrived at a casino and bet twenty-thousand dollars ($20,000) on a single roll of the dice. She said, "I hope y'all don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude."

With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!" As the dice came to a stop she jumped up and down and squealed..."YES! YES! I WON, I WON!"

She hugged each of the dealers and then picked up her winnings and her clothes and quickly departed. The dealers stared at each other dumfounded.

Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?" The other answered, "I don't know - I thought you were watching."

Moral - Not all Texans are stupid and not all blondes are dumb, but all men are men.
