From the President:
March 5, 2005.
Dear Members and Friends,
Happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all! If this year goes any faster than it has so far, we're all going to need seat belts! That is one reason why I'm going to address our May Dinner in this letter.
The theme is education and, with that in mind, we all need to be on the lookout for "older" looking books to use as the center pieces on the tables. At least 60-90 books will be needed. Also, when asking company reps for door prizes, ask them if the company offers promotional pens, pencils, rulers, etc. that we may use for the center pieces. This will help defray our costs for the center pieces and the companies will get their names out there to the people who count (mainly agency people). We're all in this together, so let's start early so we can get it together sooner rather than later.
Since Spring is right around the corner, it's time for all of us to clean out our closets and donate those unused professional clothes to women who are re-entering the business world. Just bring your donations to the next meeting and I will deliver them (and bring back the tax receipts to you). I also have places for used/broken/replaced cell phones and eyeglasses!
I am going to regional conference on March 17th along with Sue Zieder and Sherry Porter. We will do our best to represent IWVC at this conference. If you have any matters you would like addressed, please contact one of us and we'll do our best.
Remember to wear green on the 17th to avoid the pinches. Until then......
Yours in fellowship,
Ruth Uridel, CPIW.

I Believe That...
I believe that somewhere between 36 and 45 people have a defining moment...that makes you rethink everything. You come out either embittered and a little smaller or you grow and say, "You know, I can't control everything. I'd better just enjoy the day that is in front of me."
